- - What is this workshop?
    - A workshop that teaches you screenplay writing but…
    - Not via books or theory, but by teaching YOU how to convert YOUR story into a screenplay
    - You learn the tricks of writing a screenplay via a story and characters you have developed
  - Who is this workshop for?
    - Anybody who has a unique, unsaid and fascinating story to say
    - You could be a student, a journalist, an amateur writer… The story is more important than what you have done
    - And of course, you must have the aspiration to see your film on screen
  - How many fellows will be there in the workshop?
    - A total of 14 people, that is all
    - To apply, you must have a an original story
    - The story need not be fully developed, but should have the potential to be a feature film
    - The story MUST be registered at the Screen Writers Association, to protect your material

    - Date: 30th May to 2nd June 2024
    - Location: Tooth Mountain Farms, Karjat
    - Check-In: Thursday evening
    - Check-Out: Sunday at 11 am (Feel free to let your baggage linger till evening for your creative flow!)

    - Double Occupancy:
      The fees for this workshop is INR 30,000 per person for double occupancy. This includes lodging and all meals for 3 nights and 4 days, inclusive of taxes.

Suyash Trivedi

Suyash Trivedi is a writer and director with over 10 years of experience in the movie and television space. Suyash started off by working on wildlife films. He then moved onto write, produce and direct shows for television for channels like Comedy Central, MTV and History TV 18.

He wrote the screenplay and dialogues for Soorma, starring Diljit Dosanj and Taapsee Pannu, produced by Sony Pictures. He then went onto write the first season of Out of Love, starring Rasika Duggal and Purab Kohli (On Hotstar). His first original script for a feature film was bought by Excel Entertainment.

Currently Suyash has just finished writing one of the most exciting web shows to come out of India, is currently being filmed across the country. His next original feature film, for which he has written the screenplay and dialogues for is set to be produced by Ellipsis entertainment and goes on floor this year. He will also be making his feature film directorial debut later this year.

Shiv Sagar

Shiv, hails from a film family, being the grand-son of Late Dr. Ramanand Sagar and Son of Shri Prem Sagar. He studied his Hotel Management in Les Roches, Switzerland and ran his family hotel in Manali for 5 years, after which he completed his MBA from ISB (Indian School of Business in Hyderabad) in 2004.

His first show was “Mahima Shani Dev Ki” on NDTV Imagine in 2008, which ran successfully for 4 years topping the TRP charts. He also was the creative producer on “Jai Bajrang Bali” on Sahara One which successfully completed over 850 episodes, increasing the GRP of the Channel significantly. He debut direction was “Aarasuri Maa Ambe” in 2014, a 3-D mythological film, for which Shri Amitabh Bachchan gave his voice-over. The film still runs at the Amba ji temple in Gujarat for devotees.

Shiv was associated with shows like “Kahani Vikram Aur Betal Ki” on colors (2009), “Basera” on NTDV Imagine (2009), “Jag Janini Maa Durga” on Colors (2012), “Narayan Narayan” on Big Magic (2015).

Shiv recently completed a web-series on Mata Vaishno Devi consisting of 11 episodes of half-hour each in 2022. He wrote the screenplay for it, and also was the creative director and producer for the series. The series is yet to be released. Currently Shiv is working on “Kagbhusundhi Ramayan” on Doordarshan to be released in May 2024. The show focusses on the untold stories of Ramayan as narrated by the divine bird, KagBhusundhi.
